Aldergate Securities is seeking an Equities Trader to execute orders and manage risk across our trading desk. This role sits at the heart of the business, where speed, accuracy, and sharp market judgement drive performance for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute equity trades accurately and efficiently on behalf of clients.
Monitor market conditions, price movements, and news throughout the trading day.
Manage risk and the desk's position exposure in real time.
Provide market commentary and trade ideas to clients and colleagues.
Ensure trades are settled correctly and on time.
Maintain accurate records and ensure full regulatory compliance.
Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in equity trading or a markets execution role.
Strong understanding of market structure, instruments, and regulation.
Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure.
Confident with trading platforms and order management systems.
Sharp numerical and analytical skills.
High level of discipline, focus, and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Relevant financial qualifications (e.g. CISI).
Experience across multiple asset classes or markets.
